Brown Family papers, 1824-1939.

This collection contains Lyndsay Brown's papers from the Indianapolis High School Alumni Association, his account of the Ohio River flood in 1937, and information from The Old Seminary Boys Group. Also included are papers of Ignatius Brown regarding road construction in the Pleasant Run area of Indianapolis circa 1898; and Hiram Browns papers on water wheels and mills in Indianapolis.

Dr. Gilbert Brown (1883-1960) was a pioneer of modern anaesthesia in Australia and was the first president of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists. He was made a CBE in 1953. Dr. Marie Brown, nZ̐̌ee Simpson, (1883-1949) had a strong emphasis on public health and maternal and infant health in her medical career.
